A good computer case with enough space, a great number of drive bays and an efficient cooling system is every computer user’s dream. Some of them also desire that a computer case should have a sleek design along with a sturdy body. Well you might say that it is rare to find a combination of all these desirable qualities in a single computer case. But we discover that it is not an impossible feat because NZXT Phantom offers all these and even more features at a very attractive price that hardly any of its competitors can match.
So, let us find out what NZXT Phantom really has to offer to us. The smart packaging of this product gives a very good idea about it. All the features and specifications of the computer case are given on the side of the box. You might be tempted to say that there is nothing new as most boxes contain information like this. But what separates NZXT Phantom from others is that the box also provides a look inside the box. There is a large picture of interior of the case with all the important details given precisely.

As we now have a fairly good idea about the computer case, let us now have a look at it. The first thing we notice about it is that it does not have a rectangular shape. It measures 222 x 540 x 623mm (W x H x D) and has a weight of 11kgs without power supply. Well it is heavy indeed but its weight is due to the fact that it is mostly made of steel. But it can not be considered a demerit because it is this factor that gives the case a solid body. At the same time the manufacturers have taken utmost care to make sure that the case does not look clumsy. Therefore despite its size NZTX Phantom looks quite graceful.

The front of this computer case is quite chic and has a door to the drive bays. The front fan is located at the bottom and it efficiently airs the drive bays. One side of the case is pretty sparse because as it is just behind the mother board it has take care of the cable management. It just has an opening to facilitate the air flow with knobs to control the speed of the fans. On the other hand, the other side of the case has been fitted with two side fans of 120mm. There is also space for one 200/230mm fan. You can also control the pace of these fans. The left side of NZXT Phantom also has three dust filters to keep your case squeaky clean
The rear of the case looks like that of any standard computer case. The I/O location is at the top and a 120mm fan is fixed just next to it. There are also four water cooling holes to provide you with a rigorous water cooling system.
When we divert our attention to the interior of this computer case, the first thing that captures our interests is the white finish. This is in sharp contrast to the all black exterior. We also find that it is quite spacious and can provide clutter free cable management. There is a detachable motherboard tray and we also find that the motherboard compatible with this case is either the Baby AT , Micro ATX , ATX or E-ATX. The mother board tray has holes for cables and also space to include the CPU heat sink.
On the left side we see room to fix two 120mm fans along with three pin connectors. When we look at the bottom of the main chamber we find the space to allot the PSU. It has rubber feet to raise the PSU to diminish the vibration produced. Above it we can see seven PCIe card slots. There are two fans one of 120 mm and the other of 200 mm at the top of the left side which have been fixed with fan controllers.
NZXT Phantom has eleven drive bays. There are five external bays of 5.25 inches and seven internal bays 3.5 inches. What is amazing about this case is that you do not have to use any tool to install any of the drive bays. You just need to slide the bay to the location and fix it easily by snapping the clip to it. You can also fix 2.5 inches drives in the same location where you fix the 3.5 inches drives. Like the drive bays, the installation of the PSU is also hassle free.
This case can support even large graphics card that are around 35 cm long. We are also impressed with the cable management of this case. There is plenty of room behind the motherboard that can easily accommodate a large number of cables.
As far as power supply is concerned it has been specified that it is optional. If you want to buy the power supply along with the computer case, then you are free to do so. But if you do not want this facility then you can fix any standard power supply available in the market. However, 500 Watts PS2 ATX 12V 2.0 is the recommended power supply. Most importantly, you do not have to worry about the heat generated by the power supply because there is a very efficient cooling system to take care of it. In fact, the cooling system is the main highlight of NZXT Phantom.

After looking at all these properties, we can say that the overall, the product is quite impressive. It has a flawless build and many of its properties are quite flexible, like the drive bays. We also see that it is pretty easy to remove the front and top panel. The interior of this case is also spacious and even after installation of HD 6990 12" Graphics Card, we find that there is ample space still left. Some of the additional features of this product like the top mounted USB, SATA ports and microphone really enhance the desirability of this case. Thus we see as NZTX Phantom scores high in both looks and functions and you wish to grab hold of this remarkable product then head straight too
