Computer major PC Case Manufacturer NZXT was established in 2004 and within a short duration it has become a very popular name in the field of computer case manufacturing. Its products are well known for their innovative designs and excellent performance. Researchers at NZXT try hard to introduce something new every time a new product is launched and have been quite successful in their venture. The remarkable NZXT Tempest EVO Case is yet another sophisticated product from the NZXT line-up that build on the repute of its predecessors and comes across as a product that score high in both style and functionality.

NZXT Tempest EVO Gaming Case belongs to the Crafted Series brought out by the same company. It is actually an improved version of the Tempest case. But, it is not mere repetition of the features of the earlier version. Better and newer properties have been added by NZXT to improve the performance of this case.
Let us start with the packaging of the product. We have to admit that the packaging is quite eye-catching. The photograph of this high end product stands out amidst the interesting graphics of this package. Apart from providing the relevant details regarding the product, it also contains the pictures of both the interior and exterior of the product to give the potential customers a fair notion about it.
When we rip open the package of this case, we see the impressive NZXT Tempest EVO Case. It has a black body and clean lines and an excellent finish. Just by looking at it we can confidently say that though the basic look and dimensions of this case is similar to the earlier Tempest case, it is more striking than its predecessor.
This new case from NZXT is a mid tower case. It is a height of 521.5mm, a width of 211.5 mm and has a depth 562 mm. However it has a weight of 11.2 kgs and so we can say that it is pretty heavy. But its size does not diminish its appearance and it still looks quite fetching. It is mainly built of steel which gives it a very solid body, but the front panel is composed of plastic to enhance its style quotient.
When we look at the front panel we discover that this case has nine detachable metal screens and foam to conceal the drive bays. It has three bays of 5.25 inches each. This is a very interesting feature as it is not a common sight in computer cases. Like many of the computer cases from NZXT this case also has LED lighting in the side of the front panel that makes the case stand out. Apart from these, there are two 12cm fans located at the front to provide the necessary air circulation.
Let us now move to the rear of the case. It looks like any standard case from NZXT. We find that a 120mm fan has been fixed at the back. Just below this exhaust fan we see four holes which have been introduced to allow water cooling of the case. Water cooling seems to be the ‘in’ thing these days as many computer cases have this feature.
When we focus our attention to the top of the case, we discover that the power and reset buttons are placed at the top along with a microphone, headphones and E-SATA ports. There is another fan of 14cm. We thus see that NZXT has taken really good care of the cooling system.
After dwelling upon the exterior of the NZXT Tempest EVO Case, its time for us to move inside and discover all the wonderful features that this case boasts of. The interior like the exterior is black and impresses us with its neat finish and chic design. In fact we see a noticeable improvement from the earlier Tempest case. It has enough space to accommodate eight drive bays and it is quite easy to install them as you do not have to make use of any tools. These bays are 3.5 inches each and these eight bays are in addition to the three external drive bays. So in total this case has room for eleven drive bays!

As we can see that the case is pretty spacious, the motherboard can be mounted quite comfortably as. It has been designed to accommodate the following motherboards- E-ATX ATX, MICRO-ATX, BABY AT. Another notable feature of this case is its clutter free cable management. This is an important achievement as many high end computer cases perform miserably in this department. The interior of this case has been furnished with two white 12cm that effectively drives out the excess heat. We also discover seven expansion slots and find that this case can also accommodate really large video cards.
Like many other computer cases from NZXT like NZXT Phantom, this case also has an optional power supply. You can install any power supply even big ones as this case has enough space to accommodate it. However, the power supply that comes with NZXT Tempest EVO Case is the 500watts PS2 ATX 12V 2.0.
We have already stated that this computer case is an evolved edition of NZXT Tempest. Some of the changes from the earlier version include a black finish, better sound control, large nine blade fans instead of regular seven blade fans and four water cooling dents instead of two in the previous edition. Apart from these we also see marked difference in performance. NZXT Tempest EVO Gaming Case undoubtedly offers better service than its predecessor.

We thus see that this new computer case from the NZXT family is a wonderful computer case that is spacious, has an efficient cooling system and a classic finish. The Tempest case from NZXT is a testament to the engineering skills of its design engineers who have come out with a remarkable product which boasts of class leading features.
