Nvidia has an illustrious history of introducing high end graphic cards which have become quite popular among gaming aficionados. Of the several series of graphic cards it has launched, GeForce series was particularly admired for the wide array of features it offered. Nvidia has now come up with a brand new card from this series and has named it Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1 GB. Launched on 25th January this year, this card looks pretty promising and it appears to us that like its forerunners it too will become popular among gamers in no time.

The GeForce series is considered the ultimate gaming series from Nvidia by many experts. It has catered to almost all the needs of gaming enthusiasts and people actually look forward to the cards from this series as they know that they will get only the best. Nvidia has newly launched its 5-series of GeForce that promises to accentuate the much admired features of the earlier gaming cards from Nvidia and heighten your gaming experience. Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB is a card from this series and thus it has generated a lot of interest among gamers and reviewers.

Nvidia uses the time tested sophisticated Fermi architecture to build this new graphic card. In fact, this card bears uncanny similarity with other winners from the same company. This new card has what is known as GF114 die. Like its predecessors, Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1 GB also has eight SMs and the general layout of GF104. But if you are thinking that this card is merely a combination of the amazing properties of other Nvidia cards, then you are gravely mistaken. Nvidia, besides enhancing certain familiar properties of other cards, has also introduced many new properties in this card. For instance, it has an amazing 384 CUDA cores, 256bit GDDR5 memory interface,322 ROPs , a sophisticated electrical enhancement and a impressive clock speed of 822 MHz( core), 1640MHz (CUDA cores) and 1000 MHz memory.
Let us now take a good look at the card. Well we have to admit that it looks very similar to GTX 460 1GB which was released in July 2010. But there are some differences. For instance, the PCB of this card is slightly longer than the one in GTX 460 1GB at 9inches. When we look at the rear of this microprocessor, we realise that Nvidia has planned it as a mid range card as it has a lone SLI that is capable of connecting two boards. Larger cards like the GTX 570 and GTX 580 have dual SLI.

Let us now look at the major attractions of this card from Nvidia. We find that this card has been equipped with dual DVI along with a small HDMI. This card will certainly become quite popular among HTPC users as this card has bit streaming support that will accentuate the experience of Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master. The cooling system of this new card from Nvidia is another highlight. We see that this department has seen much improvement. In fact it is 20 percent more efficient than the cooling system of GTX 460. This feat has been made possible by the new interesting design employed by the company. Instead of the usual two heat pipes, GTX 560 Ti 1 GB has three heat pipes made of copper. These three pipes are connected with the main copper block which has been linked to the GPU. This card is merged with three aluminium heat sinks that are fixed with the three pipes and the main copper block. The combination these components enhances the heat dispelling capacity of the Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1 GB. Therefore this card hardly gets heated and even at peak performance, the cooling system works effectively to control the heat generated to just 37C which is very impressive indeed. Interestingly, the heat sink also cools the GDDR5 memory and power circuit system.

Let us shift our focus to the power supply of this graphic card. The power is provided by two 6-pin PCI-E power connectors just like GTX 580 1.5GB and GTX 570 1.3 GB. Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1 GB has a very intelligent power system that has been furnished with the capacity to correctly gauge the inflow of current. If it finds that the flow of current is more than what should be, it has the ability to lower the frequency of the GPU. The card is thus saved from imminent damage. We have to admit that this property is not very common and it certainly gives this card an upper hand over the other cards in the market. Besides, this card is pretty energy saving as well. This property is in much demand these days as it saves both electricity and your money.
Let us then look at the over clocking capacity of Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1 GB. If you thought GTX 460 had the best overclocki8ng speed of its generation, then you will be pleasantly surprised to know that this new Nvidia card outperforms GTX 460 in this sphere. It has a core speed of 991 MHz, processor speed of 1982MHz and a memory speed of 4424MHz.

We thus see that
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1 GB puts up a very good performance indeed. As a card belonging to the 5-series GPUs from Nvidia high performance was expected from it, but we have to admit that it has surpassed our expectations. Armed with an efficient cooling system and an amazing over clocking speed this new card is all set to recreate the magic that we often associate with Nvidia cards. And you can have all these properties at less than R2,500, which is hard to believe but true. Hence if you want a high end graphic card that gives awesome service at unbelievably low price, then,
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1 GB is just the ideal card which you can get hold at by visiting
