PCFormat Gaming PC Reviewed - Evetech Core i5 4.6Ghz Overclocked HD 7950 Gamer - April 2012

AMD's latest graphics card is fresh off the production line and Evetech has already whipped up a rig built around this latest hunk of silicon. the radeon HD 7900 series cards are intended to beat NVIDIA's curren flagship GPU, the GTX 580, and the Tahiti GPI is able to do that with a decent amount of overhead for a bit of overclocking.

NAG Magazine Gaming PC Reviewed - Evetech Intel Core i7 3930K 4.6GHz Overclocked GTX 560 Ti SLI Gamer - Feb 2012

This is quite an interesting build from the chaps at Evetech. It’s billed as a high-end machine, and it certainly is, but instead of opting for the powerhouse that is the GTX 590, it’s fitted with two GTX 560 Golden Samples in SLI. In terms of cost, that’s a saving of almost R3,000, but in terms of power, this machine obviously doesn’t deliver the frame rates you’d expect from one fitted with the GTX 590. Here’s the treat, though: the inclusion of an Intel Core I7-3930K. That’s a six-core,12- thread monster second only to Intel’s range topping (and wallet-crushing) Extreme Edition of this CPU. The results of this combination of components are a high performing system that manages to keep the cost at a reasonable level.

PCFormat Gaming PC Reviewed - Evetech AMD FX 8-Core HD 6950 Gamer - Jan 2012

AMD’s new FX processors are not the V8 monsters we all expected. Simply put, they lag behind Intel’s Core i7 2600K and end up battling it out for sloppy seconds with the Core i5-2500K. AMD systems have their benefits, chief of which is the ease with which they can be upgraded. With the death of the LGA1155 socket already on Intel’s roadmap, the benefit of supporting AMD is the kindness shown to your wallet. Evetech’s FX 8-Core HD 6950 Gamer machine is seemingly built around your bank balance even if the price tag of R10,000 doesn’t initially seem so.

NAG Magazine Gaming PC Reviewed - Intel Core i7 2600K Overclocked 4.8GHz Extreme Gaming PC - Oct 2011

It’s good to know that we live in a world where it’s a simple matter of throwing large amount of money at someone and in return you’ll receive a PC that outperform almost anything. With us impresses with Evetech’s mid-range offering two months ago, we were eager to get stuck into their range-topping offering to see just how much extra performance one would get for the premium.

PCFormat Gaming PC Reviewed - Intel Core i3 GTX 560 Ti Pro Gaming PC - Oct 2011

Pre-Built gaming PCs generally come with price tags that would have most gamers reaching for the nearest Xbox 360. The Evetech I3 GTX 560 Ti Pro Gamer PC is the first budget rig that has arrived from the custom rig builder and comes with a baby Sand Bridge at its heart. The Core I3-2120 that sits under a stock Intel CPU cooler may seem paltry at first but this little processor manages to deliver a performance that is far from wimpy. The I3-2120 only packs 3MB of L3 cache, which is the biggest stumbling block for this little processor when it comes to heavy tasks such as HD encoding. However, overall its performance as a gaming processor is satisfactory.

NAG Magazine Gaming PC Reviewed - Intel Core i5 2500K Overclocked 4.5GHz GTX 560 Ti Gaming PC - Aug 2011

Evetech has been building systems aimed at gamers for a while now, but many potential shoppers who visit their site might not be savvy enough to understand the huge range of machines on offer. To simplify the process, NAG sat down with the chaps from Evetech to agree on what could be classified as the ultimate mid-range PC.

PCFormat Reviews GeForce GTX 590 Dual GPU Graphics Card - July 2011

The dual GPU graphics card arena has been the domain of AMD for many years now. Even since the ill-fated GeForce 9800 GX2, Nvidia has kept clear of this segment and allowed AMD to have all the bragging rights.

PCFormat Reviews NZXT Phantom Professional Gaming Case - July 2011

The Phantom is one of the first chassis available in South Africa from the US-Based NZXT. The Phantom comes in four main colours: red, pink, black and white. All the chassis have black fan meshing, screws and motherboard standoffs, which looks amazing on both the black and the white versions which arrived at PCFRanch for review.

The Phantom is priced well below chassis such as the CoolerMaster HAF X and yet still boasts features like a fully-painted interior, rubber grommets on cable routing holes and even rubber mounts for the PSU, to reduce vibration.

NAG Magazine Gaming PC Reviewed - Intel Core i7 2600K Overclocked 4.6GHz GTX 580 3GB Gaming PC - May 2011

Every time I get a pre-built system in from Evetech to review, I can’t help but have mixed feelings of excitement and anxiety. Excitement, because Evetech have historically produced some of the best pre-built systems I have ever seen. Anxiety, because after setting such a high standard of work, I wonder if Evetech can continue building quality systems at this level. Well, I’m glad to say that once again the guys over at Evetech have impressed me beyond expectation.

PCFormat Gaming PC Reviewed - Intel Core i5 Overclocked 4.5Ghz GTX 570 SLI Gaming PC - May 2011

The Evetech Core i5 Overclocked 4.5GHZ GTX 570 SLI gaming PC is an impressively spec'ed system. The Intel Core i5 2500K, which would usually run at 3.3GHz, has been overclocked to 4.5GHz and is kept cool by a Noctua NH-D14. This is an impressive result for 24/7 overclock. Evetech could have used a more expensive board to achieve a higher overclock but this probably would have netted a 2000MHz extra for about R1000 to R2000 more.
