Borderlands 3: What we know April 03, 2019 In Gaming News Streaming Since the rumours started on Borderlands 3 the internet has literally gone crazy over it, with perfectly good reason to. The announcement didn't just come with someone talking about the game trying to produce as much hype as they possibly can over the game, but they released an epic gameplay trailer that made most of our jaws drop in excitement. If you haven't already, check out the awesome gameplay trailer that was released below, and jump onto that hype train with us! There was also a teaser trailer released called the “Mask of Mayhem” Borderlands teaser. Although it didn't actually show any in game footage, the camera panned over what seemed like marble sculptures of all the heros, villains and other interesting folk that you will be able to encounter in Borderlands 3. It has definitely been a long wait for Borderlands fans to get another iteration into the Borderlands world. But this wait, is almost over. Today, April 3rd, at approximately 20:00 o'clock South African time Gearbox Software should announce the official release date of Borderlands 3! Finally the anticipation will be over and all of us that are so eager to find out when we can finally get our hands on this game! But wait, there is more! In the teaser trailer “Mask of Mayhem” there was a tiny flashing blue dot in the top left hand corner of the video (see image below). To any normal Joe looking at that, might not think anything of it. Some extremely smart individuals came up with the answer for that flashing blue dot. That flashing blue dot was actually morse code. The morse code spelt out three words, and these three words could be a secret message into the future plot of Borderlands 3, “Count The Sirens”. Now, in Borderlands a Siren is a type of race in the Borderlands universe and they are women that have extremely unique powers. These powers consist of things like phasewalking, phaselocking and teleporting. But there is a trick, only six Sirens can co-exist in the Borderlands universe at a time. So could the teaser trailer be hinting towards these Sirens being in Borderlands 3? I guess we are just going to have to wait and find out!If you are interested in watching the Borderlands 3 announcement at 20:00 tonight (2019/04/03) then tune into the PAX live stream. Alternatively you can watch the announcement either on the Gearbox YouTube Channel or on the official Borderlands.com website. One thing is for sure though, if you are a Borderlands fan, this is not something that you want to miss out on. Who knows, maybe they release a few more little teasers that nobody will know about!
