The RX 9000 series pairs higher clocks with reworked compute units, and most XFX models leave the factory above AMD reference figures. The 9060 XT is the 1080p high-refresh card; the 9070 and 9070 XT are built for 1440p.
FSR 4 Upscaling
FSR 4 runs a machine-learning model on RDNA 4 hardware, so image quality at Balanced and Performance presets holds together far better than the older analytical version. Support is added per title by the developer.
Second-Generation Ray Accelerators
RDNA 4 roughly doubles ray-intersection throughput over the previous generation. That is the reason heavy ray-traced titles are playable on a 9070 XT where an equivalent RDNA 3 card ran out of headroom.
Magnetic Air Fan Swap
Selected Mercury and Quicksilver models hold their fans on a magnetised interlock. A fan lifts off for cleaning or replacement without the card leaving the case and without a single screw.
Ghost Thermal 3.0
The top coolers pair a vapour chamber with Honeywell PTM7950 phase-change material instead of ordinary paste, so the thermal interface does not pump out and dry after a couple of summers.
HYPR-RX in One Toggle
AMD Software gathers Super Resolution, Fluid Motion Frames, Anti-Lag and Radeon Boost behind a single switch. It is the quickest route to more frames without learning per-game settings.
