Because GTA V runs well on modest hardware, choosing a laptop for it is mostly about future-proofing. Match the GPU tier to your target resolution and refresh rate, then check the display, cooling, RAM, and SSD space. Any laptop that handles today's demanding AAA games will run GTA V with plenty of headroom to spare.
GTA V's Enhanced edition supports NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR upscaling, so even mid-range laptops can hold high frame rates. Aim for at least 16GB of RAM, an NVMe SSD with room for the roughly 105GB install, and a dedicated NVIDIA RTX or AMD Radeon GPU rather than integrated graphics.
