Interview with South African PUBG streamer Nianfo. November 14, 2018 In Gaming Streaming So here at Evetech we decided to interview Stefano "Nianfo" Batazzi, one of the best South African PUBG streamers and talents. Although from his accent you might think that he is South African but he has been living in this country for quite some time. We decided to get to know Nianfo a little more and showcase an incredible clip of him pulling off an unbelievable shot! Evetech: Where did the name Nianfo come from?Nianfo: Nianfo comes from my life changing experience in a monastery. When I was 19, I decided to take some time for myself and left everything behind, to live in a Buddhist monastery for a year. Nianfo was the nickname the monks gave me, it means 'mindfulness'.Evetech: When did you start streaming?Nianfo: I started streaming a year ago (August 2017).Evetech: What was your first streaming setup like?Nianfo: My first streaming setup was just my gaming pc, with no microphone, overlays or webcams! I quickly realized it wasn't going to be enough if i wanted to see some growth. Since streaming requires a lot of CPU usage, the current setup was too weak to achieve high quality streams. I'm all about achieving an enjoyable viewing experience, as friendly as possible.Evetech: What was the first game you ever played and your first gaming memory?Nianfo: The first game that I played was Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation1! My first proper gaming memory is receiving a CD of Counter Strike 1.6. Honestly I can't give you what age I was at the time because I don't remember.Evetech: What has been your proudest moment as a Twitch streamer?Nianfo: My proudest moment has to be my first stream on a double PC setup. That’s when I realized the support I receive is incredible and it brought a tear to my eye. Again, huge shout out to my community and sponsors that help out like MSI and Evetech.Evetech: How did it feel to see Shroud react to one of your PUBG kills?Nianfo: Seeing Shroud react to one of my PUBG clips was very cool.Evetech: What does your streaming setup look like at the moment?Nianfo:Gaming PC:CPU: 2nd Gen Ryzen™ 7 2700Motherboard: MSI X470 Gaming Pro CarbonRAM: HyperX Fury 16GB DDR4 3466MHzGFX: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X - 8GB RamSSD: 960 EVO 250GB M.2 PCI-eHDD: Western Digital BLUE 2TB HDDCooling: Wraith Spire LED CoolerScreen: BENQ 144hzKeyboard: Corsair K95 PlatinumMouse: Razer Deathadder EliteHeadset: HyperX Cloud AlphaChair: VertagearMic: HyperX Cloud AlphaStreaming PC:CPU: Intel i7 4670k Devils CanyonRAM: 16GB 2400MHz Corsair Dominator PlatinumGFX: MSI 1070HDD: Samsung 1TB EVO SSDCooling: Corsair H100iScreen: LG 25" UltraWide Full HD IPSMic: Samson Meteor Evetech: Who is your favourite streamer?Nianfo: Anthony_Kongphan. He is fully dedicated to his community and supports charities for kids almost every stream. This is what I want to achieve one day as well, but for South Africa.Evetech: What advice would you give to other gamers that want to start streaming?Nianfo: My only advice to gamers who want to start the streaming life: If it's not genuine, you will not succeed.Evetech: If you could build the perfect streaming setup, what would it look like?Nianfo: My perfect streaming setup would be in a studio with 10 people working around me with scenes management and effects! Haha jokes aside, I am very happy with what I have at the moment and will see with time what I can improve.Wishlist:Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero WiFiProcessors: Intel Core i7 8700K 6-Core 3.7GHz (4.7GHz TurboBoost)Graphic Cards: Single 11GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TiMemory: 32GB G.Skill TridentZ 3000MHz (2 X 16GB)Operating System Drive: 480GB Intel Optane SSD 900P Check out Nianfo's Twitch stream and join in on the fun!
