RDR2 Coming To PC

Ladies and gentlemen, it is finally here. The time has come for us to live out our dream of being a cowboy. Red Dead Redemption 2 is releasing on the PC. We can ride our trusty steed through the deserted plains of the west and gun-sling our way to stardom. We can even see our beard grow in higher quality... if that's not something to get excited about, I don't know what is?

The rumours, the leaks and all the speculation have found its way into the light, RDR2 is definitely going to be released on PC. The official release date is November 5th, 2019. However, pre-orders for the game opened on October 9th, and you will receive a ton of extras for doing so.  Rockstar released their own game launcher, aptly named the Rockstar Launcher, but you can purchase the game from other storefronts such as Epic Games Store.

If you were like many of us and you could not wait for the game to release on PC and you played it on console first, don’t worry. We are playing it again on the PC too. You're not alone. There will be a couple extra side missions, bounty hunter missions, weapons and horses that will be coming to the PC version of the game so that it won’t necessarily be a copy and paste of the console version (all though I am sure that wouldn’t put most of us off if it was simply a transfer).

There could be questions as to why this is a big deal to some people, and well, the simple truth is that Red Dead Redemption was an incredible game. Coming out in 2010, it seemed years ahead of its time, and when the official announcement for RDR2 was released it was like we had reached the very peak of Mount Everest. Playing the game is a refreshing mixture of excellent visuals, fantastic writing and voice work, and the story. Oh my, the story is brilliant. Full of twists and turns and things happening to you unexpectedly (as it would in the dusty grimy mess of the real West), gripping you in every minute you spend glued to the controller, as you follow the story of Arthur Morgan.

Tell us your thoughts and opinions on RDR2 releasing on PC, finally. Are you excited to play the game for the first time, or are you just looking to play this beautiful game at a higher refresh rate? One thing is for certain, we are all excited to get our hands on the PC version of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2.
