TRYx

TRY - the willingness to experiment. X - the ambition to widen what a component is allowed to be. Founded in 2023 by people with long careers at established cooling and chassis manufacturers, TRYX set out to turn the parts nobody normally looks at into the ones everybody looks at first.

The evidence sits in the products. A curved AMOLED panel wraps around the pump head instead of a flat square screen. Chassis are finished in studio-grade fabric rather than steel and glass alone. Fans pass power and lighting between units through magnetic contact points, so a cluster of them leaves one cable instead of six.

A Screen That Wraps Rather Than Sits Flat

The Panorama carries a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED panel around the pump housing at 2K resolution, using a three-dimensional anamorphic effect so artwork appears to have depth as you move past it. Through the KANALI software it shows live temperatures and clocks, your own images or video, and it stays legible in a bright room.

Cooling Platforms Named, Not Implied

The flagship liquid cooler runs Asetek's eighth-generation V2 pump platform rated to 320W of thermal capacity, while the SE version uses Asetek's Adela platform rated to 280W. The dual-tower air cooler is specified to 280W across six heat pipes with a nickel-plated micro-convex base. Those ratings, not marketing adjectives, are what tell you which processors a cooler suits.

Noise Figures You Can Check

The Rota SL fans are published at 28.87 dB(A) at full speed on fluid dynamic bearings, with the airflow and static pressure figures listed alongside so radiator use can be judged rather than guessed. Running them below maximum, as almost every build does, puts them well under that figure.

Three Finishes Across the Range

Black, white and pink run through the cases, coolers and fans rather than appearing on one hero product, so a build can be matched end to end instead of assembled from whatever colour each part happened to ship in. The showcase chassis uses machined aluminium; the lifestyle case uses fabric over its front and side panels.

One Application for the Whole Setup

KANALI drives the cooler display, the fan lighting and the system monitoring from a single window on Windows, which avoids running three utilities that each want to control the same lighting header. Fans join the chain through magnetic pogo-pin contacts, so adding one to a cluster needs no additional cable run.

Five Things to Check Before You Order TRYX

This is a cooling and chassis brand, so the questions that decide whether a purchase works are physical ones: what fits in the case you own, what mounts to the socket you have, and how many cables end up behind the tray.

The Flova F50 replaces the usual bank of front intake fans with a single turbine roughly 250mm tall and 50mm across, drawing air in from the side and pushing it horizontally over the board and graphics card. It runs at three fixed speed settings rather than a smooth curve, so decide early whether you want the quiet setting or the fastest one, because it changes the character of the machine more than any fan swap would.

A 360mm radiator here measures close to 400mm long and 30mm thick, a few millimetres deeper than many rivals, which matters where a case quotes exact top-panel clearance against tall memory. Tubing runs to roughly 400mm, generous for a front mount and worth checking against a top mount in a large chassis. Measure the case, not the marketing size.

Rota SL fans transfer power and lighting between units through magnetic contact points on their frames, so a group of three leaves a single lead heading to the board instead of six. Each carries eight second-generation addressable LEDs. The trade-off is orientation: the contacts have to meet, so plan the direction each fan faces before screwing them down.

Brackets for current and previous AMD and Intel desktop sockets come in the box rather than as a separate purchase, and the air cooler's heat pipes are offset to sit better over the hotter area of Intel's rectangular package. Confirm your socket appears on the list before ordering, particularly for older builds, since bracket kits are awkward to source after the fact.

The fabric used on the lifestyle chassis is specified as shrink and humidity resistant, which is a fair question to ask in a coastal home, and the front panel detaches for cleaning rather than being permanently bonded. Treat it like upholstery instead of like steel: vacuum the dust off rather than wiping it through the weave.
