Start with how you will use it most. For calls and meetings, mic quality and stable multipoint pairing to two devices matter more than deep bass. For music, look at ANC, comfort for long sessions and codec support (AAC on iPhone, aptX or LDAC on many Android phones, and LC3 on newer LE Audio devices). For gaming, standard Bluetooth latency of roughly 40-200ms can lag behind the picture, so many gaming-capable headsets bundle a separate 2.4GHz USB dongle that drops latency to around 20ms or less.
The rest comes down to fit and battery. Over-ear cups seal out more noise and suit long listening; on-ear and neckband styles are lighter and easier to carry. Battery life ranges from around 8-12 hours on compact call headsets to 30+ hours on many ANC over-ears, with quick-charge on most current models. Brands such as Sony, Jabra, JBL, Logitech and HyperX each lean towards different strengths, so match the headset to your main use before comparing specs.
