Current GPUs for gaming, creation and AI

The right GPU is the one matched to your monitor, not the most expensive one you can stretch to. Start from your resolution and refresh rate, then work backwards: a 60-class card handles 1080p at high frame rates, a 70-class card is the sweet spot for 1440p, and 80/90-class cards are for 4K, ultra settings and creator or AI work. Buying more card than your screen can show is money left on the table.
Once you have the tier, check the practical fit: enough VRAM for your resolution and games, a power supply with the right wattage and connectors, physical clearance in your case, and a cooler design you can live with. Upscaling and frame-generation tech (NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR) can lift frame rates meaningfully, so factor it into the decision rather than raw raster numbers alone.
