How to Choose a PC Case
The right case fits your parts, cools them well and makes building easy. Use the guide below to choose.
Match the case to your motherboard: full/mid-tower for ATX, compact cases for micro-ATX, and small-form-factor for mini-ITX. Bigger cases are easier to build in and cool; smaller ones save desk space.
Check the maximum GPU length and CPU-cooler height the case supports. Flagship graphics cards are long and thick, and tall air coolers need clearance — confirm both before buying.
Mesh-front cases pull in more cool air and generally run cooler under load; tempered-glass fronts look great but can restrict airflow. Check how many fans are included and how many more you can add.
If you plan liquid cooling, confirm the case supports your radiator size (240mm, 280mm, 360mm) in the top or front. This matters most for high-wattage or overclocked CPUs.
Check the number of 2.5-inch SSD and 3.5-inch HDD mounts, plus space behind the motherboard tray for tidy cabling. Good cable routing improves airflow and makes upgrades easier.
