What makes the RTX 5090 different from other GeForce cards?

The GeForce RTX 5090 is NVIDIA's flagship Blackwell GPU. It has 32GB of GDDR7 memory and supports DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, which puts it a clear step above the rest of the RTX 50 range for 4K, heavy ray tracing and AI or creative workloads. It is aimed at people who want the most performance available in a single card.

Which CPU should I pair with an RTX 5090?

Pair the RTX 5090 with a current flagship CPU such as a Ryzen 9 or Intel Core Ultra 9 so nothing bottlenecks the GPU, particularly at high refresh rates or in creative and AI work. Because Evetech builds these PCs in-house, you can choose the CPU that fits your workload when you configure the system.

Is an RTX 5090 PC overkill for 1080p or 1440p gaming?

For most 1080p and 1440p gaming it is more card than you need, and a lower-tier RTX 50 GPU gives better value there. The RTX 5090 makes sense when you are gaming at high-refresh 4K, running demanding ray-traced titles, or doing heavy AI, 3D and video work that uses its 32GB of memory.

How much power does an RTX 5090 gaming PC need?

The RTX 5090 has a high power draw, so a high-wattage 80 PLUS Gold or better power supply with the correct 12V-2x6 connector is required. We size the PSU with headroom for the whole system so it stays stable and quiet under sustained load rather than running at its limit.

How much memory and storage should an RTX 5090 build have?

32GB of DDR5 is a good baseline, with 64GB worth considering for large creative projects or AI workloads. Pair it with a PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD so load times and asset streaming keep pace with the GPU. All of this is configurable when you build your PC on the Evetech site.

What does DLSS 4 do on the RTX 5090?

DLSS 4 uses AI to render frames at a lower internal resolution and reconstruct them at your target resolution, and adds Multi Frame Generation to boost frame rates further in supported games. On the RTX 5090 this helps sustain high frame rates at 4K with ray tracing enabled, in titles that support it.

Can I customise an RTX 5090 PC from Evetech?

Yes. Evetech builds its RTX 5090 gaming PCs in-house, so you can configure the CPU, memory, storage, cooling, case and power supply to suit your needs and budget. Each system is assembled, tested and backed by local warranty and support, with nationwide delivery across South Africa.

Do you deliver RTX 5090 gaming PCs across South Africa?

Yes. Evetech ships nationwide across South Africa, and every custom-built RTX 5090 PC is assembled and tested locally before it goes out, with local warranty and after-sales support rather than an overseas returns process.

RTX 5090 gaming PCs deliver flagship graphics, AI-powered performance, and extreme speed for 4K gaming, content creation, and demanding workloads. 🚀🖥️.

How to Choose an RTX 5090 Gaming PC

The RTX 5090 is the fastest consumer graphics card NVIDIA makes, so the rest of the system has to keep up with it. A capable build pairs the GPU with a high-end current-generation CPU (a Ryzen 9 or Intel Core Ultra 9), 32GB or more of DDR5, and a PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD, in a case and cooling setup that can move the heat this class of card produces.

At 4K the RTX 5090 does most of the work, but a fast CPU still matters for high-refresh play, simulation-heavy titles and streaming while you game. Pair it with a current flagship such as a Ryzen 9 or Intel Core Ultra 9 so the GPU is never held back, especially if you also run creative or AI workloads.

32GB of DDR5 is a sensible baseline for a 5090 build, with 64GB worth considering for large creative projects or AI work. The card's 32GB of GDDR7 handles high-resolution textures and big AI models, while DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation lifts frame rates in supported titles. Pair it with a PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD so game and asset load times keep up.

The RTX 5090 has a high power draw, so a high-wattage 80 PLUS Gold (or better) PSU with the correct 12V-2x6 power connector is essential for stable performance. We size the supply with headroom for the full system so it runs cool and quiet under sustained load rather than at its limit.

A flagship GPU and CPU together generate real heat. These builds use a high-airflow case with either a strong air cooler or an AIO liquid cooler on the CPU, and enough case fans to keep the GPU fed with cool air. Good thermals hold boost clocks for longer and keep noise down during long sessions.

The 5090 is built for 4K high-refresh and beyond. To feel the difference, pair it with a high-refresh 4K monitor (or an ultrawide) with a fast panel and adaptive sync. If your display is 1440p or 1080p, a lower-tier card usually makes more sense - the 5090 is for people pushing resolution, refresh rate and ray tracing at once.

Because Evetech builds these PCs in-house, you can configure the CPU, memory, storage, cooling and power supply to match how you play or work - competitive high-refresh 4K, single-player ray tracing, or AI and content-creation. The notes below cover the parts that matter most when specifying an RTX 5090 system.
