USB is the straightforward route. It connects directly, needs no separate interface and is what almost every streamer and remote worker should buy. Professional XLR microphones need additional hardware and suit a studio rather than a desk.
The pickup pattern matters more than the price. A cardioid pattern listens to what is in front of it and rejects much of the rest, which is what you want in an untreated room with a keyboard and a fan nearby.
