A 360Hz panel redraws itself every 2.78 milliseconds. That is the entire pitch, and it converts into an advantage only when your machine produces frames faster than the screen can present them. In Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant that is a processor problem long before it becomes a graphics one, because those engines lean on single-thread performance and players regularly stall in the low 200s with plenty of GPU still in reserve.

For several years 360Hz meant 24.5 inches, Full HD and a TN or fast IPS panel, because nothing else could keep pace. That has changed. QHD OLED panels now run at 360Hz with grey-to-grey transitions around 0.03ms, taking pixel response out of the equation altogether and turning resolution into a genuine choice rather than a concession.

Feeding one takes the right link. A 1440p 360Hz signal exceeds what DisplayPort 1.4 carries uncompressed, so those panels depend on Display Stream Compression, which every recent GeForce and Radeon card supports but an older one may not. Full HD at 360Hz is a much lighter load and travels over DisplayPort 1.4 without any compression at all.
