A streaming desk is a crowded place for USB devices. A camera, an audio interface, a capture card, a controller and a headset all draw from a limited pool of controller bandwidth, and the camera is usually the greediest of them because raw video is enormous before it is compressed.
That is why the video format setting deserves your attention first. A 1080p60 stream sent uncompressed swallows more bandwidth than a shared USB 2.0 controller can supply, while the same stream in MJPEG, compressed frame by frame inside the camera, fits comfortably. Cameras that appear capped at 720p are frequently just set to the wrong format.
