Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 runs on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies at an AC1200 class rating across four streams. The router adds DNS security that protects browsing against eavesdropping and against manipulation of DNS data in man-in-the-middle attacks. DNS is the lookup every connection starts with, so securing it covers every device on the network at once rather than requiring software on each one.

VPN support works in both directions: connect back to a corporate or private network using the method you already use, or stand up your own VPN server on the router for a private network of your own.
