The EZVIZ C3TN is a 1080p HD outdoor security camera with 30-metre night vision and an IP67 waterproof rating, so it records clear detail in darkness and stays serviceable mounted outside. Being WiFi-enabled removes the need for extra cabling, and it detects motion, pushes instant alerts and records to either a microSD card or cloud storage for full-time surveillance coverage.

The C3TN is compatible with Alexa and Google Home, so you can pull up the feed hands-free on a smart display or speaker instead of unlocking a phone. Remote monitoring runs through your smartphone over WiFi, which means the camera slots into an existing smart-home setup without new wiring or a separate control hub.

Video is captured at sharp 1080p HD, and two built-in spotlights light the scene after dark for vivid colour night vision within 15 metres. Beyond that, infrared black-and-white vision reaches up to 30 metres, so a driveway or back yard stays covered end to end rather than fading into darkness past the spotlight range.

The C3TN Color is built into an IP67-rated body, making it highly dust- and water-resistant. That rating is what allows it to sit through rain, snow and storms on an exposed wall or eave and keep recording, rather than needing a sheltered mounting position to survive the season.

The EZVIZ App handles remote monitoring: stream live video from the camera and receive an instant notification the moment motion is detected. That turns the camera from a passive recorder into something you act on while an event is happening, whether you are in the next room or out of the country.

The C3TN Color includes an active defence mechanism: when motion is detected it flashes its two bright spotlights to warn off an intruder. Deterrence at the moment of detection is the difference between a recording of a break-in and an intruder deciding your property is not worth the attention.

A noise-cancelling microphone is built into the C3TN Color, so recordings carry clear audio from the monitored area rather than wind and traffic wash. You can watch and listen to activity at a front door or in a back yard from anywhere, which adds context that video alone often misses.

H.265 video compression reduces both bandwidth and storage requirements without giving up image quality. In practice that means more days of footage fit on the same microSD card or cloud allowance, and a busy home network carries the stream with less strain than an older codec would demand.

Recordings save locally to microSD cards of up to 256GB, or to EZVIZ CloudPlay with end-to-end encryption. Local storage keeps footage on site and independent of your internet link; cloud storage survives the camera being stolen or destroyed. Running both covers each other's failure mode.

All data moving between the EZVIZ C3TN and the cloud is encrypted from start to finish, so only you hold the keys needed to decrypt your footage. For a camera pointed at your own front door, that encryption is what keeps a security device from becoming a privacy exposure.
