This is a licensed Marvel release rather than a themed lookalike, which is what makes it worth keeping as a collectable alongside its use as a controller. The Thanos treatment covers the shell, so the design is part of the object you hold rather than a sticker or a box print you throw away.

Stick drift comes from a contact wearing a groove into a resistive track until it reports movement that never happened. The G8 Plus uses Hall Effect sensing instead, where a magnet's position is measured from a small distance. With no contact, there is nothing to wear, and the analog centre stays honest.

The triggers are analog and driven by Hall Effect magnetic sensors, reporting how far each one has travelled rather than a binary state. That range is what a racing game needs to hold a steady throttle, and what lets a shooter distinguish easing onto a target from committing to the shot.
