Rather than a rigid metal plate, the GMMK Pro uses a custom-designed polycarbonate one. The flex in polycarbonate softens the typing surface and produces a more tactile sound, and it pairs well with clicky switches in particular. Of all the parts in a keyboard, the plate has the largest effect on acoustics.

Polycarbonate is semi-transparent, so the plate lets RGB light travel through it instead of blocking it as a metal sheet would. Illumination consequently spreads further and looks brighter across the board. That is one part improving two separate things, the feel of a keystroke and the appearance of the lighting.

Look, sound and feel are independently adjustable on the GMMK Pro, and this bundle moves each of them deliberately. Original INVYR Panda housing moulds and upgraded internals give the Glorious Panda both its tactile character and the deep thock it is known for. The bump lands early in the keystroke and the stem snaps back quickly, keeping rapid repeated presses separate rather than blurring into one another under the finger.

The Panda is documented component by component: a high-grade polycarbonate top shell from original Invyr tooling, a Japanese POM stem engineered for reduced pre-travel, a 67-gram nickel-plated stainless steel spring from Korea, a superior-grade Japanese copper leaf, and a bottom shell in premium Nylon PA66 with a 3-pin design.

Glorious pre-lubes its Panda switches with G-Lube, applying it to the upper housing, the spring and the stem during manufacture. Travel is smoother and the acoustics are cleaner from the first keystroke, with no preparation required. Lubing a whole set by hand is a long job, and factory application removes it entirely.

An unlubed Panda is available too, delivered completely dry so the choice of lubricant stays with you. That suits anyone who already knows which product they prefer and owns the modding tools to apply it evenly. Tuning a switch that way produces a feel no standard factory application can reproduce exactly.

Panda switches fit all GMMK models, work with RGB backlit systems and accept standard mechanical keycaps, Cherry profile sets included. They also avoid the requirement for a south-facing keyboard layout, which is where other switch types run into trouble when a keycap set collides with the top of the housing.

A practical caveat before assembly: the Panda housing is not transparent, so RGB illumination through it can look less vibrant than through a clear-housing switch. With the opaque Arctic White PBT caps in this bundle the lighting mostly reads as underglow around the keys rather than through them anyway.

The GPBT set is Glorious's premium keycap line, aimed at enthusiasts who treat a keyboard as something to curate rather than merely use. PBT plastic provides a satisfying texture underhand and a deeper sound than lighter plastics, and the colours are engineered to stay fade-resistant over long-term use.

The Arctic White colourway uses a classic black-on-white scheme, the highest-contrast combination available and therefore the most legible in any lighting. It is a colourway that has stayed in use for decades because it works, and it matches the White Ice frame of the keyboard supplied in this bundle.

The rotary knob included here is machined from high-quality aluminium and finished in gold, engineered to fit the GMMK Pro exactly and rotate smoothly through its full travel. A twist adjusts volume or fine-tunes settings, and on a white board the gold provides the one point of contrast in the build.

A refined top edge bezel and textured sides give the knob a comfortable, secure grip, and its scratch-resistant matte finish resists the wear that comes from being turned every day. Installation takes seconds and no tools: the old knob pulls off by hand and the new one presses into place until seated.
