The HyperX Cloud Mini Wireless is a black gaming headset built for players aged 8 to 12, with a fit made for smaller heads and ears. Battery life runs up to 25 hours, the earcups rotate for comfort and storage, and the microphone tucks away when it is not needed. It connects to PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox.

Over Bluetooth the Cloud Mini Wireless keeps audio levels below 85dB, a limit set with young ears in mind rather than left to whoever is turning the volume up. That ceiling applies automatically, so parents do not have to police the volume dial while a child plays with friends for an afternoon.

Audio comes from 30mm drivers, sized to suit the smaller earcups while still producing full-range sound. The same headset covers gaming, streaming video and music, so it does not need swapping out when a child moves from a match to a film or a playlist on the same device.

A full charge gives up to 25 hours of wireless listening, which covers more than a full day of use and usually a week of after-school sessions before the cable comes out again. That range means charging becomes a weekend habit rather than something that interrupts play halfway through a game.

The microphone mutes by flipping it up, so a child can cut the mic in one movement when someone speaks to them in the room. When it is not needed the mic tucks away against the headset instead of sticking out, which keeps it out of harm's way in a school bag or on a bedroom desk.

The Cloud Mini takes the HyperX comfort formula and scales it for children aged 8 to 12, so the headband and earcups sit properly rather than sliding around on a smaller head. Going wireless also removes the cable that would otherwise get caught on a chair or pulled off the desk mid-game.

The earcups swivel so the headset can sit flat against the chest during a break instead of being pushed up onto the forehead. The same rotation lays the headset flat for packing, which makes it easier to fit into a bag when it travels between home, a friend's house or a holiday.

As well as Bluetooth, the Cloud Mini plugs into any device with a 3.5mm four-pole input. That covers PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Steam Deck, Xbox, mobile phones and Chromebooks, so one headset follows a child across every console and device in the house without needing an adapter for each.

Fast Pair gets the headset connected in one tap, and Chromebook certification confirms it meets Google's compatibility standards. For a school laptop that matters, because the same headset then handles video calls, class work and gaming without a pairing process that a child needs help with each time.
