[OPEN BOX] Fractal Design Flex B-20 PCIe Vertical Riser with Bracket (20 cm) / OB-FD-A-FLX1-001-SN

The Fractal Design Flex B-20 PCIe Vertical Riser is a 20 cm riser supplied with its own mounting bracket, so a graphics card can be turned to face out of the case. Construction is durable and the bracket holds the card stable rather than letting it hang on the cable. It is compatible with most PCIe slots, which keeps it usable across a wide range of builds.

The Flex B-20 is built for ATX cases with bridgeless expansion slot covers, meaning there are no bars between the slots. Fractal Design names the North, Define 7 Compact, Define 7, Define 7 XL, Meshify 2 Compact, Meshify 2, Meshify 2 XL and Torrent as chassis that use that layout. Checking the slot covers before ordering is the quickest way to confirm a fit.

Mounting the card vertically points its cooler and backplate at the side panel, so the most expensive part of the build is the part you actually see. The change is not only cosmetic: repositioning the card alters how air moves around it and helps keep the system cool. For anyone who has spent on a flagship GPU, this is how it stops facing the floor.

Captive thumbscrews come with the Flex B-20, so the bracket goes in without hunting for loose case hardware or a screwdriver. Captive fasteners stay attached to the bracket, which means nothing drops into the chassis while you are lining the riser up. It is a small detail that turns a fiddly vertical mount into a job you can do once and leave alone.

The Flex B-20 accommodates full-length graphics cards with single or dual-slot brackets, and it does not restrict cooler size. It also places the GPU away from the side panel, leaving the intake fans room to draw air instead of pressing them against glass. That clearance is the difference between a vertical mount that looks good and one that also runs cool.

Heavy-duty double-sided wiring gives the Flex B-20 up to three times the power delivery of traditional riser cables. Signalling is full PCIe 3.0 x16, which keeps compatibility wide across graphics cards and motherboards. Power delivery and link width are the two things a riser can quietly cost you, and both are specified here rather than left open.
