The Promate LUMIX-15W puts three bedside devices into one body: a 15W wireless charging pad, an LED alarm clock with dual alarms, and a 10.7lm night light. It replaces the clock, the lamp and the phone charger that would otherwise each occupy their own patch of a nightstand and their own plug.

The charging surface delivers 15W and is finished in an anti-slip material that stops a phone creeping out of position during the night. Correct alignment is what determines whether a wireless charger actually reaches its rated speed, so the grip on the pad is doing real work rather than just feeling nice.

The wireless coil operates between 100kHz and 205kHz across a charging distance of 3 to 6mm, at an efficiency of 70% or better. That distance tolerance is the practical figure to check, because it decides whether a phone can stay in its case overnight or has to come out of one before it will charge.

Two independent alarms can be set, each with snooze. That covers a household where two people wake at different times, or a single routine that needs a weekday alarm and a separate early one for travel days, without reprogramming the clock every evening before bed.

A 1.7W LED night light rated at 10.7lm sits in the body of the clock and steps through three brightness modes. At its lowest setting it gives just enough light to find a glass of water without waking anyone, and at its highest it works as a soft reading or getting-dressed light.

The LED display is not limited to the hour: it also carries the date and the ambient temperature, and switches between 12-hour and 24-hour time formats. Everything you would normally reach for a phone to check at 6am is already lit on the nightstand, which is the point of a dedicated clock.

The clock takes a 9V 3A input and comes with a 1.2m power cable, which reaches from a socket behind a bed or under a desk without an extension. RF output power is held at 20dBm or less. Its footprint suits a bedroom, a student room or a hotel nightstand equally well.
