The Promate MagHoop-GN holds a phone by magnets alone on a flexible gooseneck arm, with no cradle arms clamping the sides of the handset. It fits a dashboard or a windshield, and the metal ring needed for a phone without built-in magnets is supplied in the box.

Seventeen N52 magnets are arranged in a ring so they land in alignment every time the phone approaches, and the mount carries a maximum weight of 350g. That figure covers a large handset with a case still fitted, which is what most people actually put on a car mount rather than a bare phone.

The magnetic head rotates through a full 360 degrees, so the phone can be turned to portrait for music controls or landscape for a navigation map without unclipping anything. Setting the angle once and leaving it there is what keeps eyes on the road instead of on the mount.

The flexible gooseneck reaches a maximum height of 216.16mm and holds whatever shape it is bent into. That range lets the phone be brought up near the windscreen line in one car or kept low over the console in another, matching the driving position rather than forcing a compromise.

The base uses VHB adhesive to lock the mount to a dashboard or windshield, and installation is a single step with no brackets or tools involved. Once it is down it stays down, which is the difference between a mount that survives a hot car in summer and one that lets go on the first bad day.

Construction is nylon fibre and TPU around the magnets and the VHB base, giving a flexible arm that resists fatigue. The cradleless shape is deliberately minimal, so with the phone removed the mount reads as a small hoop on the dashboard rather than an empty plastic claw.
