The Turtle Beach Atlas Air Black Wireless Gaming Headset is an open-back design built around high-precision 40mm drivers covering 20Hz to 40kHz, with 24-bit high-fidelity audio and a floating earcup construction. It runs over 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.2 or a wired connection, and its detachable flip-to-mute microphone samples at 16-bit, 32kHz for chat.

The Turtle Beach Atlas Air wireless open-back gaming headset is crafted for PC gaming, pairing superior 24-bit audio fidelity with an innovative open-back design and a pioneering floating earcup construction. The three choices reinforce each other: the open back gives a more natural sound stage, and the floating earcups hold the headset in place without clamping down on your head.

QuickSwitch technology puts an intuitive button on the headset that moves between the wireless and Bluetooth connections, so audio and chat sources transition between devices in a single press. There is no menu to navigate and no re-pairing step, which is what makes swapping from a game to a call on another device practical mid-session.

The adjustable floating headband is made from breathable mesh material, which keeps comfort up through extended gaming sessions while minimising weight for better wearability. Alongside it, 2.4GHz Wireless and Bluetooth 5.2 give low-latency gaming across Xbox, PlayStation, PC and mobile devices; refer to the specifications for complete compatibility details by model.

The enhanced open-back design delivers realistic high-fidelity audio with optimal immersion and directionality, which helps you detect enemies faster while staying in touch with your surroundings. The same breathable structure promotes airflow around the ears, so heat does not build up during a lengthy gaming session.

The revolutionary floating earcup design allows three-dimensional adjustability, so each cup settles around the ear at its own angle instead of forcing your head to match the headset. Combined with the adjustable floating headband, the fit contours closely enough that the Atlas Air stops registering as something you are wearing.

Three connection modes cover different machines. Wireless is compatible with PC and PlayStation, Bluetooth works with PC and mobile devices, and the wired mode connects to PC and console controllers. Between them, a console that cannot take the 2.4GHz connection is still covered through the cable running from its controller.

The removable flip-to-mute microphone provides high-bandwidth 16-bit, 32kHz performance for clarity during chat. Its uni-directional design and windscreen minimise background noise so your voice carries rather than the room around you, and Swarm II software lets you tailor the microphone settings further.

In PC mode the Atlas Air delivers 24-bit, 96kHz sound quality, reproducing detail precisely enough that quiet positional cues stay legible underneath a loud mix. That resolution is only available in PC mode, which is why the headset is positioned first as a PC gaming product and second as a multi-platform one.

High-precision 40mm drivers are engineered to work with the open-back chamber, producing astonishingly high-fidelity sound across a wide frequency range from 20Hz to 40kHz. The top end reaches well past the usual 20kHz ceiling and the bottom holds down to 20Hz, so both extremes of a game's mix stay present rather than rolling off.

The Mod Pack supplies replacement ear cushions and a headband in royal purple, rebel pink and Bermuda blue. They are created with the same athletic fabric-wrapped memory foam as the originals, so changing the look of the Atlas Air costs nothing in comfort and the parts swap rather than being permanent.
