Building a Sim Racing Setup, From Wheel to Pedals

A sim racing rig is a chain of parts that each shape the feel: the wheel base supplies the force feedback, the rim sets how it sits in your hands, the pedals control your inputs and the mount holds it all steady. Upgrading any one of them changes how the car talks back to you.

Start with the wheel base, because its drive type and torque set the ceiling for everything else. From there the pedals are the next biggest gain, since a load-cell brake usually does more for consistency than a stronger motor, and the platform you race on decides which brands you can use.
