What to Check Before Buying Open Box
Open box can save you real money, but each unit is one-of-a-kind, so a quick read of the listing matters more than it does with sealed stock. Confirm the condition note, what is included in the box, and the warranty cover before you add to cart.
Open box stock is discounted because the seal is broken, not because the product is faulty. The usual reasons are a customer return, an ex-display or demo unit, or a box that was scuffed in transit. The hardware is tested and working; you are paying for the opened packaging, not a lower-quality product.
Condition varies per unit, so always read the listing note. Some items are effectively as-new and were barely handled; others may have light cosmetic marks. We describe any visible wear and list what is included, so there are no surprises when it arrives.
Open box items carry warranty cover as stated on each listing — often the balance of the manufacturer warranty, or an Evetech warranty where noted. Because cover can differ between products, check the specific item before buying. The standard Evetech RMA process still applies if something goes wrong.
Accessories, cables and manuals are usually present but not guaranteed on every open box unit. The listing states what is included. If a specific cable or bracket is essential to your build, confirm it is in the box before ordering, or budget for a replacement.
Open box stock is limited — typically a single unit, occasionally a few. Once it sells, that exact deal is gone and may not return at the same price. If a listing matches what you need and the condition note works for you, it is worth acting rather than waiting.
