The Enova EHJ-007A combines a black nylon frame with an aluminium frame section and a polished aluminium base. It is built to the BIFMA product standard with a 136kg seat load capacity, and a folding footrest is included. The added metal is what separates it from the nylon-framed models below it in the EHJ range.

The back frame pairs black nylon with an aluminium frame rather than relying on plastic alone. Metal in the structure holds the backrest geometry under repeated recline and under the load of a user leaning back hard, which is where a purely moulded frame eventually starts to twist over years of daily use.

Under the seat is a Donati multi-functional mechanism with eight tension settings. Eight steps give a much finer match between recline resistance and body weight than a coarse two or three-stage adjuster, so the backrest can be set to follow you exactly rather than either resisting or collapsing when you lean.

The lumbar support is 4D, adjusting in four directions so the contact point can be moved up, down, in and out. That range means the same chair fits a tall and a short user properly, and it lets you change how firmly the pad meets your back depending on how upright you are sitting.

The EHJ-007A uses 360-degree dual-axis 6D PU armrests, giving six directions of adjustment plus full rotation. Beyond height they move forward, back, in and out, so the pads can be aligned to a keyboard, a mouse further out, or a controller held close, then turned away completely when you get up.

The mechanism includes a seat slider that moves the seat pan forward and back. Extending it puts more of the thigh on the cushion for taller users, while pulling it in keeps the front edge clear behind the knee for shorter ones. The adjustment is reached from under the seat while seated.

A folding footrest padded with PU foam pulls out from beneath the seat and folds back flat when it is not needed. The foam padding means it is comfortable to actually rest legs on rather than being a bare plastic panel, and folding away keeps the chair able to tuck under a desk.

Seat height runs on a Korean KGS class 4 gas lift in the 80/65 size, finished in black. A paddle under the seat moves the chair through its travel, letting you set the height where your forearms are level with the desk and your feet stay flat rather than dangling.

The chair stands on a polished aluminium base. Metal keeps its shape under years of load where a moulded plastic base slowly flexes and develops a soft feel, and it gives the chair a planted response when you push off one armrest to stand or swivel toward a second monitor.

It rolls on 60mm casters with black PU wheels. PU is softer than bare nylon, so the chair stays quiet across laminate, tile and sealed concrete, and the 60mm diameter carries the chair over floor joins and flat cable covers without catching as you move around a desk.

Headrest, backrest and seat all use the FF-YM90-11M-56 component in black. One material across all three keeps the firmness and texture the same wherever you touch the chair, and the plain black finish avoids the two-tone racing stripes that make a gaming chair harder to place in a shared room.

The EHJ-007A is manufactured to the BIFMA product standard used for office furniture testing, and carries a 136kg seat weight load capacity. That rating describes the chair as a complete assembly, taking in the reinforced frame, the aluminium base and the class 4 gas lift together.

Assembled, the chair weighs 26.35kg, with a gross packed weight of 30.10kg. That is noticeably heavier than the nylon-framed EHJ models, which is the direct result of the aluminium frame section and base, so plan on two people for the trip from the front door to the desk.

The EHJ-007A ships in a single carton of 820 by 510 by 690 millimetres. Check that against a tight stair turn, a narrow passage or a small lift before delivery, since the chair arrives as one box rather than several lighter cartons that could be carried up separately.
