The Promate VentMag-XL is a magnetic smartphone holder that clips into a car's air vent. The phone attaches to the mount magnetically rather than being clamped, so it goes on and comes off with one hand. Promate lists compatibility with all smartphone devices, and the metallic plates needed to make that work are included.

The SecureGrip magnets hold the phone against the mount with no clamp to open, no arms to spread and no adjustment between devices. You place the handset against the face and it locks; you pull it away and it releases. That single motion is the reason magnetic mounts suit drivers better than clamping cradles.
