Start with compatibility. Thrustmaster wheel bases are tied to a platform family: the T300 and T598 target PlayStation and PC, the TX targets Xbox and PC, while the T128 and T248 come in separate PlayStation and Xbox versions. Confirm the exact model works with your console before buying.
Then match the force-feedback tier to your budget and ambition. Hybrid wheels (T128 at 2 Nm, T248 at 3.5 Nm) suit newcomers and casual racing; belt-driven bases like the T-GT II step up to around 6 Nm with quieter, smoother feedback; and direct-drive units like the T598 (5 Nm constant, 10 Nm peak) give the strongest, most detailed feel for serious sim racing. Most bundles include pedals, and the modular design lets you upgrade rims and pedal sets later.
