What is the difference between ARGB and RGB case lighting?

Not necessarily. A motherboard header lets you sync lighting through the board's software, which is the cleanest option. If your board has no header — or the wrong type — a separate ARGB/RGB controller or hub powers and controls the strips independently, usually with a remote or its own app.

Can I control case lighting without software?

Yes. Many strips and kits include a hardware controller with a remote or inline buttons for colour, brightness and preset modes, so you can run lighting without installing anything. Software like Aura Sync or Mystic Light is only needed if you want full sync with other components.

Will the lighting sync with my fans and other RGB parts?

It will if everything connects to the same ecosystem — for example, all on motherboard ARGB headers controlled by one app, or all on a single controller. Mixing 5V ARGB and 12V RGB parts, or different brands' controllers, can break sync. Plan around one control system before buying.

How do I avoid glare on the tempered-glass panel?

Are magnetic or adhesive LED strips better?

Magnetic strips are easier to reposition and suit steel cases, which most cases are inside. Adhesive strips stick anywhere, including plastic and glass-adjacent surfaces, but plan placement first because peeling and re-sticking weakens the tape. For a build you may tweak later, magnetic is the more forgiving choice.
