AMD Ryzen 7 Desktop PCs
Eight Cores on Socket AM5
Ryzen 7 is AMD's eight-core, sixteen-thread desktop tier: enough parallel capacity that a game, a browser full of tabs and a recording session can share one machine without stepping on each other. Every current Ryzen 7 part drops into Socket AM5 alongside DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 lanes for graphics and storage, and AMD has publicly extended support for that socket well past the present generation, so the board outlives the chip. The choice inside the tier comes down to cache: the X3D models stack extra L3 under the cores for CPU-bound games, while the standard 9700X clocks higher and costs less for mixed workloads.
