How do I control the RGB lighting on the Corsair iCUE LINK LX120-R fan?

**Corsair iCUE software integration** allows full RGB customization with 16.8 million color options and dynamic lighting effects. The fan's **18 addressable RGB LEDs** can be synchronized with other Corsair peripherals and components for cohesive system-wide lighting.

What makes this fan a 'reverse rotor' design?

**Reversed rotor orientation** directs airflow inward for optimal intake performance while reducing turbulence. This creates a cleaner airflow path through radiators or air filters compared to standard fans, improving cooling efficiency in high-end PC builds.

Is this fan compatible with non-Corsair RGB controllers?

The **iCUE LINK ecosystem** requires Corsair's dedicated controller/hub (included) for RGB and fan speed management. While it won't work with third-party controllers, the daisy-chain capability supports connecting multiple iCUE LINK devices through a single USB header.

How quiet is the Corsair iCUE LINK LX120-R fan at low speeds?

**Magnetic dome bearing technology** reduces mechanical noise to <20 dBA at minimum RPM (200 RPM). The bearing design eliminates coil whine and vibration, making it ideal for silent gaming rigs or content creation workstations.

Can this fan be used for radiator exhaust applications?

While optimized for **intake airflow**, the reversed rotor design can function as an exhaust fan. However, standard rotor fans are recommended for radiator exhaust to maintain optimal thermal performance in liquid cooling setups.

What RGB lighting effects are available through iCUE software?

Access **22 dynamic lighting modes** including rainbow wave, color pulse, and reactive effects. The software supports per-LED customization and synchronization with game-specific lighting profiles via iCUE's SDK integration.

How many fans can be daisy-chained using the iCUE LINK system?

The **iCUE LINK hub** supports connecting up to 6 compatible fans in a daisy-chain configuration through a single USB 2.0 header, simplifying cable management while maintaining individual fan control.

What thermal performance specs should I expect from this 120mm PWM fan?

Delivers **72.2 CFM airflow** at 2000 RPM with a static pressure rating of 3.08 mmH2O. The **PWM controller** automatically adjusts speeds between 200-2000 RPM based on temperature, balancing cooling performance with noise levels.
