Is the RTX 5060 Ti good for 1440p gaming?

Yes, it handles entry-level 1440p and excels at high-refresh 1080p. Expect roughly 60 to 120+ FPS on high settings depending on the title, and turn on DLSS 4 to claw back frames when ray tracing is enabled. The 16GB version is the safer pick for 1440p.

Should I buy the 16GB or 8GB RTX 5060 Ti?

Both share the same Blackwell GPU and 128-bit GDDR7 memory. Choose 16GB for 1440p, ray tracing and future headroom; choose 8GB to save money on a 1080p or esports-focused build. There is no 12GB variant of this card.

How much VRAM does the RTX 5060 Ti have?

It ships in two memory sizes: 16GB or 8GB of GDDR7 on a 128-bit bus running at 28 Gbps. 8GB is enough for most 1080p gaming, while 16GB gives extra headroom for 1440p and heavier ray-traced texture budgets.

What PSU wattage and power connector does it need?

The RTX 5060 Ti has a 180W TDP and uses a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. NVIDIA recommends about a 550W to 600W power supply for the whole system, and we fit a quality PSU with headroom in every build.

Does the RTX 5060 Ti support DLSS 4 and hardware ray tracing?

Yes. It is built on NVIDIA's Blackwell architecture with dedicated RT cores for hardware ray tracing and support for DLSS 4, including Multi Frame Generation on supported titles, to boost frame rates and image quality.

Which CPU pairs best with an RTX 5060 Ti at 1080p and 1440p?

A current mid-range CPU such as an AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel Core i5 keeps the card fed without bottlenecking at these resolutions. Older low-core-count processors can limit frame rates in CPU-bound games, so we balance the CPU to the GPU tier in each prebuilt.

Is upgrading from an RTX 4060 Ti to an RTX 5060 Ti worth it in South Africa?

It depends on the local price gap. The 5060 Ti moves to faster GDDR7 memory and adds DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, which helps most in ray-traced and demanding titles. Compare the current Rand pricing on our product cards before deciding.

16GB and 8GB GDDR7 Blackwell Builds

Every RTX 5060 Ti build here pairs NVIDIA's Blackwell GPU with a current Intel Core or AMD Ryzen CPU for high-refresh 1080p and entry-level 1440p gaming. The card comes in 16GB and 8GB GDDR7 versions, both with 4608 CUDA cores, dedicated ray-tracing cores and DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, so you get the newest upscaling without paying 70-class money.

How to Choose an RTX 5060 Ti Gaming PC

The RTX 5060 Ti sits in the sweet spot for 1080p and 1440p gamers who want current Blackwell features without a flagship price. Every system we build is tested, backed by local warranty, and shipped nationwide across South Africa.

Both use the same GPU and 128-bit GDDR7 memory. Pick 16GB if you game at 1440p, use ray tracing, or want more longevity for modern texture packs. The 8GB card is the value option for 1080p and competitive esports, where it rarely runs short.

It is built for high-refresh 1080p and playable 1440p. Expect well over 100 FPS in esports titles and roughly 60 to 120+ FPS in modern games on high settings, with DLSS 4 recovering frames when you switch ray tracing on.

DLSS 4 is NVIDIA's Blackwell-generation AI upscaler. Multi Frame Generation reconstructs additional frames to lift smoothness in supported games, so a mid-range card like the 5060 Ti can push much higher frame rates than raw rendering alone would allow.

The card has a 180W TDP and draws through a single 8-pin PCIe connector. NVIDIA recommends about a 550W to 600W PSU for a full system. We spec a quality unit with enough headroom so your build stays stable and quiet under load.

A current mid-range chip such as a Ryzen 5 or Core i5 keeps the GPU fed at 1080p and 1440p without bottlenecking. Very old, low-core CPUs can hold frame rates back in CPU-heavy games, which is why every prebuilt here is balanced by tier.

The main decision is memory: 16GB GDDR7 gives you headroom for 1440p and heavier ray-traced titles, while the 8GB version keeps costs down for 1080p and esports. Match the rest of the build, CPU, RAM and PSU, to how you actually play.
