LucidMount-15 charges a compatible phone wirelessly at up to 15W while it is mounted, with total output rated at 15W. Snapping the handset on is the only action needed, so navigation and charging both start the moment the phone goes onto the mount rather than after a cable is found.

Wireless output runs at 5W, 7.5W, 10W or 15W depending on what the phone negotiates, drawing 5V/3A or 9V/2A at the input. Charging at the correct step matters in a car, where a phone running navigation on a bright screen can otherwise draw more than a slow pad supplies.

Magnets align the coil to the phone automatically, so the handset lands in the charging position instead of needing to be nudged until the indicator appears. Alignment is the usual reason a wireless charger fails to charge, and removing it from the driver's attention is the point of the magnetic design.

With no cradle arms the phone can sit upright or turned wide, so mapping, music and hands-free calls each get the orientation that suits them. Switching happens on the magnetic face without unmounting, which keeps the change to a single movement.

The transparent, low-profile housing keeps the mount visually light against a dashboard rather than adding a black block to the interior. Charging works across a gap of up to 8mm at 110kHz to 205kHz with 70% efficiency, and a 1.2m cable is supplied to reach the car's power socket.
