Forward Tilt Moves Heat Away From The Base
Lifting the rear of the chassis opens a gap underneath so air can move across the base instead of being trapped against the desk. Promate describes the forward tilt as improving airflow around the machine and distributing heat away from it. On a solid desk that underside is usually what blocks the intake vents.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminium That Folds Flat
The frame is aluminium, which Promate specifies as aircraft grade, and the whole stand collapses flat when you are finished with it. Folded it slides into a laptop bag alongside the machine it carries. The metal frame is what keeps a 17-inch notebook steady rather than flexing under the weight.
