PROMATE NOVON.BLACK Open-Ear Wireless Over-Ear Headphones / High-Fidelity 40mm Drivers / Bluetooth v6.0 / Detachable High-Sensitivity Microphone / RGB Circular Ring Lights with 4 Modes / Up to 20H Playtime (8H with RGB On) / Integrated Controls / NOVON.BLACK / NOVON.BLACK

The Promate NOVON.BLACK is a wireless open-ear over-ear headphone set with high-fidelity 40mm drivers, Bluetooth v6.0 and a detachable high-sensitivity microphone. RGB circular ring lights with four modes sit on the cups, and playtime runs to 20 hours, or eight hours with the lighting on. Controls are integrated into the headset itself.

Each cup carries a high-fidelity 40mm driver. Driver diameter sets how much air a headphone can move, and 40mm is the size full-size headsets use for low-end weight that in-ear sets physically cannot reach. It is the main reason over-ear designs still exist alongside earbuds.

The NOVON connects over Bluetooth v6.0, a newer revision than the 5.x stack most headsets still ship with. Newer Bluetooth versions are about connection stability and efficiency rather than headline features, which is what you notice when a headset holds its link across a room instead of dropping at the doorway.

A high-sensitivity microphone plugs into the headset for calls and voice chat, then comes off completely when you are only listening. That is the useful part of a detachable design: one headset covers a team call at a desk and music on the walk home without a boom arm in front of your face.

Circular RGB ring lights run around the outside of both cups, with four selectable modes. Ring lighting reads clearly on camera, which is why it has become standard on streaming headsets, and four modes let you settle on something steady rather than being stuck with a single animation.

Battery life reaches up to 20 hours with the lighting off, and eight hours with RGB running. Publishing both figures is the honest way to rate a lit headset, since lighting is the single largest drain, and it lets you choose between a week of calls and a lit session in front of a camera.

Playback, volume and call handling are integrated into the headset, so adjustments happen at the ear rather than on the connected device. On a wireless set that is the whole point: the phone or console stays where it is while you take a call, mute yourself or change track.

The NOVON uses an open-ear design rather than a fully sealed one. Open designs trade isolation for a less pressurised, less fatiguing feel over hours of wear, which suits desk work, gaming at home and anyone who wants to stay aware of the room and the people in it.

This is the NOVON.BLACK, the black finish in the range. A dark shell leaves the RGB ring lights as the only colour on the headset, so the lighting reads as deliberate rather than competing with a coloured body, which matters when the headset appears on camera.
