The Promate TriPlug-PD35 is a universal travel adapter with US, UK, EU and AU pins built into the body. Instead of a bag of plug adapters that always misses the country you are actually in, one unit covers the four standards used across most of the world.

Each pin set retracts into the housing rather than clipping on as a separate module, so there are no loose parts to lose in a hotel room and no sharp edges in a bag. Sliding out the set you need takes a second, and the unretracted profile stays compact enough for a jacket pocket.

The input rating is 100-240 V at 50/60 Hz and 800 mA, which covers both the 110 V regions and the 220-240 V ones without a voltage converter. That is what makes it a genuine travel charger rather than a plug shape adapter that still needs the right supply behind it.

The USB-C port supplies up to 35 W of Power Delivery, stepping through 5 V/3 A, 9 V/3 A, 12 V/2.91 A, 15 V/2.33 A and 20 V/1.75 A. That range covers phones, tablets and compact laptops, so a working trip does not need a second charger for the notebook.

The USB-C port also handles Programmable Power Supply between 3.3 V and 11 V at 3 A. PPS lets a compatible phone request a voltage in fine increments rather than fixed steps, which reduces heat during a fast charge and is the mode newer Samsung and Android handsets prefer.

A second USB-A port delivers 18 W, running at 5 V/3 A, 9 V/2 A or 12 V/1.5 A. It takes the older cables you already own for earbuds, a power bank or a camera, so nothing has to be replaced with USB-C before the adapter is useful.

When both ports are in use the adapter splits to 18 W plus 18 W, so two devices charge properly at the same time rather than one taking everything. For a couple sharing a single wall socket in a hotel room, that split is more useful than a single high-wattage port.

A travel pouch is included, sized for the adapter and its cables, which keeps the whole charging kit in one place inside a suitcase. Small chargers are the items most often left behind in a hotel drawer, and having a dedicated pouch is the simplest fix for that.
