Two routes to the same machine
Anyone shopping at this tier is really choosing between two things: dropping an 80-class card into a machine that already exists, or ordering a complete system built around it. The card is identical either way. What differs is how much of the rest of the computer has to change to make it worth having, and who carries the risk if something in that chain does not match.
That question is worth answering before comparing specifications, because an upgrade that also needs a supply, a board, memory and a processor is not an upgrade any more. Work through what the current machine can genuinely keep, and the two routes stop looking similar.
