Are Thrustmaster racing wheels compatible with PlayStation, Xbox and PC?

Yes. The T300 RS, T-GT II and the PlayStation edition of the T598 support PS5, PS4 and PC. The TX and the Xbox edition of the T598 support Xbox Series X|S and PC. The T818 is PC-only. Each Evetech product page shows the platform icons and the cables included in the box.

What is the difference between the T128, T248, T300 RS and T-GT II?

The T128 and T248 are entry-level hybrid belt-and-gear wheels sold with pedals. The T300 RS and T-GT II are belt-driven mid-range bases with stronger, smoother force feedback, and the T-GT II is tuned for Gran Turismo and GT racing on PlayStation and PC.

How much force feedback torque do Thrustmaster wheels produce?

The belt-driven T300 RS delivers around 3.9 Nm. The direct-drive T598 produces 5 Nm of constant torque with brief overshoot on top, and the PC-only T818 reaches up to 10 Nm. Exact figures are listed on each model's Evetech product page.

Which Thrustmaster wheels are direct drive?

Two models. The T598 uses a direct axial drive motor rated at 5 Nm and works on PlayStation or Xbox plus PC. The T818 is a PC-only direct-drive base rated up to 10 Nm for enthusiast rigs. Both give sharper, more detailed feedback than belt-driven wheels.

Do Thrustmaster wheels work with sims like iRacing and Assetto Corsa?

Yes. Thrustmaster wheels are supported in iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione and F1 titles on PC, plus supported console racing games. Install the latest firmware and drivers from Thrustmaster for the best compatibility and adjustable feedback.

Are pedals and a wheel rim included, or sold separately?

It depends on the model. The T128 and T248 include pedals. Many bases use Thrustmaster's Quick Release system, so rims (Ferrari, GT, Sparco or Formula style) and pedal sets like the T3PA or T-LCM can be added separately. Each Evetech listing shows exactly what is in the box.

Do Thrustmaster force feedback bases need a special power outlet in South Africa?

No. The bases ship with 100-240V AC adapters that work on South Africa's 230V/50Hz supply, so no converter is needed. Direct-drive bases like the T598 and T818 draw more power than entry wheels but still use a standard wall socket, with the correct adapter supplied.

Are Thrustmaster wheels stocked locally with warranty in South Africa?

Yes. Evetech carries Thrustmaster wheels, pedals and spares such as T3PA pedals and replacement rims as local stock, backed by local warranty support and nationwide delivery. Stock status and lead times are shown on each product page.

Thrustmaster racing wheels in South Africa, from entry belt drive to direct drive

Official Thrustmaster Wheels in South Africa - PC, PlayStation and Xbox

Thrustmaster builds sim racing wheels for every level, from the belt-driven T128 and T248 starter sets to the direct-drive T598 and the PC-only T818. Feedback ranges from smooth, quiet belt systems to cogging-free direct drive for serious realism.

Match the base to your platform and your sim: the T300 RS and T-GT II for PlayStation and PC, the TX for Xbox, and the T598 or T818 when you want direct-drive torque. Every wheel is stocked locally in South Africa with warranty support and nationwide delivery.

How to Choose a Thrustmaster Racing Wheel

Picking a Thrustmaster wheel comes down to your platform, the force feedback you want and your budget. Here is how the current range compares for South African sim racers.

The T128 and T248 are the entry point. Both are hybrid belt-and-gear wheels that ship with a pedal set, so you get a complete kit at the lowest price. The T248 steps up with a stronger motor and a built-in display over the more affordable T128.

Belt-driven bases like the T300 RS, TX and T-GT II use pulleys for smooth, quiet feedback and are proven all-rounders. Direct-drive bases connect the wheel straight to the motor for sharper detail and more torque: the T598 delivers 5 Nm and the PC-only T818 up to 10 Nm.

Match the base to your platform. The T300 RS, T-GT II and the PlayStation edition of the T598 cover PS5, PS4 and PC. The TX and the Xbox edition of the T598 cover Xbox Series X|S and PC. The T818 is PC-only. Check the platform icon on each product page.

Entry sets like the T128 and T248 include pedals. Higher-end bases such as the T818 are often sold base-only, so you add a pedal set (like the T3PA or T-LCM) and a Quick Release rim to suit your discipline, whether that is Formula, GT or rally.

For casual and console racing, the roughly 3.9 Nm of a belt-driven T300 RS is plenty. If you chase precise feel in iRacing or Assetto Corsa, move to direct drive: the T598 at 5 Nm suits most sim racers, while the T818 at up to 10 Nm targets enthusiasts with a rigid mounting setup.
