A gaming mouse is judged on four things a spec sheet rarely ranks properly: how much it weighs in your hand, how quickly a click reaches the game, whether the sensor tracks cleanly when you swipe fast, and whether the shape suits the way you hold it. Headline DPI is the least useful figure on the box, because almost nobody plays above 1,600.

Start with how you play. Fast-flick shooters reward a light symmetrical shell and a wireless dongle; MOBA and MMO players get more from a side panel of programmable buttons than from another few grams shaved off the chassis. Wired still exists for a reason too, mostly price and never charging anything.
