The GameSir Nova 2 Lite in Midnight Gray is a full-size wireless controller built around a 1000Hz polling rate and Hall Effect sticks. It measures 155 x 104 x 57 mm and weighs 225 g, and works with Switch, PC, Android and iOS. A Luminous White version of the same controller also exists.

Three connection modes are supported: Bluetooth, a 2.4GHz wireless dongle and a wired link. The dongle is included rather than sold separately, which matters because the low-latency wireless mode is the one most players want on a PC and it usually depends on having that receiver on hand.

A 1000Hz polling rate means the controller reports its state to the host a thousand times a second, once per millisecond. Against a pad polling at 125Hz, that removes up to several milliseconds of uncertainty between your thumb moving and the game reacting, which is the gap competitive players are chasing.

The thumbsticks are GameSir Hall Effect units, sensing position through magnets instead of a wiper on a resistive track. Because nothing physically touches, there is no wear path and no gradual creep away from centre, so the analog input you get after a year matches what you had on day one.

The triggers are Hall Effect units fitted with trigger stops, and the lock works two ways: full analog travel for driving and simulation, or a shortened throw that turns the trigger into a near-instant switch for shooters. Flicking between the two takes a moment and changes how the pad suits a genre.

A mechanical circular D-pad handles directional input, giving a definite click at each position rather than the vague roll of a rubber dome. Fighting games and platformers depend on that certainty, because a quarter-circle motion has to register every intermediate direction correctly to come out as the move you wanted.

Two asymmetric rumble motors sit inside the grips. Being mismatched by design, they produce different weights of vibration, so a game can layer a heavy rumble against a lighter one instead of buzzing both hands identically. The result is feedback that carries information rather than just intensity.

Two macro back buttons are positioned where your middle fingers rest. Beyond simple remapping they can hold macros, so a sequence of inputs fires from one press. That is useful in games with fixed combinations, and it keeps both thumbs on the sticks while the sequence plays out.

The handles carry anti-slip laser-textured surfaces, cut into the shell rather than applied on top, so the grip does not polish smooth with use. The ABXY buttons are membranes, which press softly and quietly, keeping the controller unobtrusive if you play near someone who is trying to sleep.

Power comes from a 600mAh battery. A charging station is not included in the box but is sold separately, and the Nova 2 Lite is compatible with the Super Nova's charging station if you would rather drop the controller onto a dock than plug a cable in after every session.

Customisation is split between the GameSir Connect app on PC and the GameSir app on mobile, so the controller can be reconfigured from whichever device you are actually playing on. Between them they handle the back-button macros, the trigger behaviour and the rest of the controller's adjustable settings.
