What kind of processor is the i7-14700KF?

The Intel Core i7-14700KF is a desktop processor from the 14th Gen Core i7 family. It is an unlocked CPU designed for enthusiast desktop builds. It uses the LGA1700 socket and is built for strong performance. A discrete graphics card is required for display output.

How many cores does this CPU have?

This processor has 20 total cores. The core mix is 8P (performance cores) plus 12E (efficiency cores). This multi-core design helps with demanding multitasking and workload handling.

What is the max clock speed?

The Intel Core i7-14700KF can reach up to 5.6 GHz. This high clock target is intended to deliver fast performance when workloads demand it. Exact performance depends on your system setup.

Is this CPU unlocked for tuning?

Yes. The i7-14700KF is specifically listed as unlocked. That makes it a common choice for users who want to tune performance on a compatible desktop platform. You will still need the right motherboard and cooling for your goals.

Which socket does it use?

This CPU uses the LGA1700 series socket. That means it is compatible with desktop motherboards that support LGA1700. Double-check your motherboard socket before purchasing.

What does 125W mean for this CPU?

The product listing specifies a 125W class. That indicates the power profile for desktop performance needs. Your actual power behavior can vary based on workloads and system configuration.

Does it require a dedicated graphics card?

Yes. The listing states discrete graphics card required. This means you should plan to install a separate GPU for video output. Without a discrete graphics card, you would not have display output.

Who is this CPU best suited for?

This CPU is built for desktop performance builds that benefit from high core counts and up to 5.6 GHz speed. It is a strong fit for heavy multitasking and demanding creator or productivity workflows. It is also intended for users who want an unlocked, LGA1700-based setup.
