[OPEN BOX] MINISFORUM TB4-01 Docking Station with Thunderbolt 4, Enclosure with Intel JHL 8440 Thunderbolt 4 Controller, DP1.4 | HDMI2.1 |TB4 Video Output | 3xUSB-A |1xRJ45 Dock Station / OB-TB4-01

The MINISFORUM TB4-01 Docking Station is built around an Intel JHL8440 Thunderbolt 4 controller and carries DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4 video outputs for 4K and higher displays. Three USB-A ports take accessories and an RJ45 port handles wired networking, so a laptop or desktop reaches monitors, storage and the network through one compact hub instead of several adapters.

Twelve versatile interfaces sit on the TB4-01, which is what turns a single Thunderbolt 4 port on a laptop into a full desk of connections. That count is the practical measure of expandability: displays, storage, accessories, networking and card media all attach at once, so a professional setup stays plugged in and the laptop connects with one cable.

Inside sits an Intel Thunderbolt 4 chip, the JHL8440 controller, which is what the dock's performance and stability rest on across demanding data, video and audio tasks. Controller silicon is the part of a dock that decides whether a display drops out or a transfer stalls under load, and using Intel's own is the reason this one holds steady.

Thunderbolt 4 moves data at 40Gbps, which is the headroom that lets high-speed file transfer, video streaming and audio applications share the same cable without competing. A project folder copies off an external SSD while a 4K stream keeps running, because the link has bandwidth left over rather than being saturated by the first task that asks for it.

Multiple outputs on the TB4-01 charge connected devices quickly and efficiently, so the dock doubles as the power point for a desk rather than sitting alongside a separate set of chargers. Keeping charging on the same hub as data and video is what removes the second and third cable from the workspace and keeps productivity uninterrupted.

The TB4-01 supports triple displays through DisplayPort, HDMI and Thunderbolt 4, running crystal-clear 4K visuals at high refresh rates of up to 120Hz. Three screens from one dock is what makes it viable as a workstation hub rather than a travel adapter, and the refresh headroom means the extra monitors are not limited to static reference material.

Thunderbolt 4 brings broad device compatibility, so the TB4-01 works across the laptops and desktops that carry the port rather than being tied to one brand. All of it fits into a compact design, which is the trade this dock is built around: superior connectivity and stability without a large box permanently occupying desk space.

The RJ45 port runs 2.5G LAN, upgrading a laptop to faster and more reliable wired internet than its own port usually provides. Lower latency and consistent data transfer are what a wired link buys over Wi-Fi, and 2.5G raises the ceiling for anyone pulling large files off a NAS or working against a local server.

A fast SD/TF card reader is built in, so footage comes straight off cameras, drones and other devices without a separate dongle in a bag. For anyone shooting regularly, that is the difference between an ingest step that happens at the desk and one that needs its own accessory, and it keeps file management and backups on one hub.

Video leaves the dock through DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and Thunderbolt 4, a combination that connects 4K or higher resolution monitors, projectors and other display devices without an adapter chain. Having all three standards on one unit means an existing monitor, a newer HDMI 2.1 panel and a Thunderbolt display can all attach at the same time.

Three USB-A ports handle the accessories that have not moved to USB-C: a keyboard, a mouse, a headset dongle or an older external drive. Keeping them on the dock means the laptop's own ports stay free, and everything reconnects in the same arrangement the moment the single Thunderbolt cable goes back in.

The TB4-01 is a single-cable docking station built for content creators and professionals, supporting multiple 4K displays, peripherals and SD/TF card readers from one connection. That is what streamlines a workflow: sit down, plug in one cable, and the monitors, drives, card media and network all come up together instead of one at a time.

The chassis is robustly constructed with a premium texture, which matters on a device that spends its life being plugged into and unplugged from. A dock carries the weight of several cables pulling in different directions, so a solid body keeps it from sliding around the desk and keeps the ports aligned over years of use.

Alongside 40Gbps transfer and support for up to three 4K monitors, Thunderbolt 4 provides power delivery, which is the third leg of a workstation setup. Data, display and power over one connection is what lets a laptop become a desktop at a desk and go back to being a laptop again in the time it takes to pull one cable.

With Thunderbolt 4 video outputs, three USB-A ports and wired networking on one unit, the TB4-01 is aimed at professional workstations and gaming setups rather than occasional travel use. It suits business professionals, content creators and gamers who need high-resolution displays, fast storage and a stable network connection running at the same time.

As a USB-C docking station the TB4-01 consolidates every attached device into one efficient, organised setup, replacing the pile of adapters a modern laptop otherwise needs. Fast file transfers, high-quality video streaming and wired networking all run through the same hub, which is what keeps a desk usable rather than covered in dongles.
