The Monster Achieve 100 AirLinks Wireless In-Ear Headphones are true wireless earbuds running Bluetooth 5.0, supplied with a portable charging case that tops them up between sessions. They are tuned for deep bass and carry an IPX5 water-resistant rating, which covers workouts and light rain. This is the black version, model MH11901.

The Achieve AirLinks were developed by Noel Lee and the Monster engineering team in the USA around a dedicated digital audio processor. That processor amplifies deep bass while keeping the mid and high frequencies clear rather than letting low end swamp them. High-performance drivers open up the soundstage, which is what gives the earbuds their accuracy across a track.

Bluetooth 5.0 raises transmission speed and stability compared with older versions, so audio delay is minimal and dropouts are reduced. It also extends the usable wireless range, which matters when the phone is in a bag or on a bench rather than in your hand. A stable link is the difference between listening and constantly re-pairing.

Each earbud uses a 6mm driver producing HiFi stereo sound for music and for phone calls alike. Handling both jobs well is what separates a set of earbuds from a headset that only works for one of them. The stereo image stays intact whether you are listening or talking.

The IPX5 rating means these earbuds resist splashes, rain and sweat, which is what makes them usable for sports, running and gym sessions. The AirLinks connect to iPhones, Samsung and other Android phones, laptops and Macs, so they are not tied to one ecosystem. A double click on the Multi-Function Button activates your phone's voice assistant while connected. Everything is handled from the earbud rather than requiring the phone in hand.

The AirLinks can run as a stereo pair, be shared with someone else, or be used as a single earbud when you want one ear free. Driving is the obvious case for the single-earbud mode, where hearing what is around you matters. The choice is made by what you take out of the case rather than by a setting.

Small, medium and large ear tips are supplied so the seal can be matched to your ears rather than assumed. Fit determines both comfort over long sessions and how much bass actually reaches you, since a loose tip leaks low frequencies. The ergonomic shell shape holds the earbud in place once the right tip is on.
