What to actually back up — be ruthless

Tier 3 — skip or selective

OneDrive Folder Backup

Third-party software that's actually worth using

What to avoid: generic "PC Optimisation" suites that bundle a backup feature alongside registry cleaners. Their backup quality is consistently lower than focused tools, and the bundled "optimisations" do more harm than good.
