Evetech takes R1,000 off one order that includes a PC or laptop, once a year, for verified students. Here is who qualifies, how to verify, and what the discount does not cover.

The offer in one box
Verified students get R1,000 off one order that includes a PC or laptop. You can use it once a year, on the Evetech website or in the Evetech app, and one verification on your account works on both.
Who qualifies
How you verify depends on where you study. Most public universities in South Africa verify straight away with a student email, including all six universities of technology: Cape Peninsula, Durban, Central, Mangosuthu, Tshwane and Vaal. TVET and private college students upload documents instead.

Uploads are checked by our team. A first-year whose student email is not issued yet can use the upload route in the meantime. The student verifies with their own student email, or their own card and registration papers.
How to claim it in three steps

Sign in to your Evetech account
Use your own account on the website or in the app. Your student status is tied to the account you verify on. - 02.
Verify in My Account
Open Student Discount in My Account. With a student email we send you a code. Without one, upload your student card and proof of registration for this year. - 03.
Tap Use my student discount in the cart
Build an order that includes a PC or laptop that is not already on special. The button appears in the cart once you are verified, and the R1,000 comes off the PC or laptop.
How long your status lasts
Once verified, your student status lasts until 31 March of the next year. A student who verifies in November and one who verifies in January are both covered to the same 31 March date. After that, verify again to keep using the discount. Each student can use it once a year.
What the discount does not cover
- PCs and laptops only: components and accessories in the same order stay at their normal price
- Items already on special: laptops marked Special carry their own discount instead
- Promo codes and creator codes: one discount at a time, and the promo code box is hidden while the student discount is on
- A second use in the same year: it is once a year for each student
What R1,000 changes on a real order
As of 4 November 2026 the cheapest PC at Evetech is R6,499, and the cheapest PC with a dedicated graphics card is R10,999. Laptops on special start at R8,499. The cheapest laptop that is not on special is R10,399, which is R9,399 after the student discount.
Students who want a desktop for digs or home can start with the pre-built range. Remember a PC needs a screen, keyboard and mouse, and those stay at their normal price.
