NVIDIA specifies this part anywhere between 95W and 150W, then allows another 25W through Dynamic Boost on top of that. It is an unusually wide window, and it shows: in synthetic graphics testing a 120W configuration lands roughly a quarter behind a machine running the full 175W. The badge on the lid is the same on both.
Everything else at this level follows from heat. An 18-inch flagship reaches around 3.6kg before you pick up the charger, adapters run from 330W to 400W, and sustained fan noise in the low forties to low fifties of decibels is ordinary rather than exceptional. None of that is a defect. It is the price of desktop-class output in something that folds shut.
